You can google each of these or find them on iTunes. (Linking each individually would take more time than I am willing to take, and a lot of them automatically reroute to iTunes anyway. ETA–okay, so I decided to link them…but it will take a while to do all of them…) By the way, if you don’t have it, I highly recommend downloading iTunes, as there are gazillions of free things to listen to in their podcast section and their iTunes U is an amazing resource of free learning on the web–I have barely scratched the surface of the iTunes U section, and I will spend some more time exploring that later.

Can you believe that I just watched Say Anything for the first time in my life? And I grew up in the 80s…

Siskel and Ebert’s review of the movie:

Which led me to Siskel and Ebert’s review of Princess Bride:

Which I decided to watch again….Inconceivable!

Though unfortunately, if you have never seen this, I have to warn you that the very last few minutes of the movie are obliterated.

And since this is YouTube, these links probably won’t be valid for long…enjoy while you can!

You Are Midnight

You are more than a little eccentric, and you’re apt to keep very unusual habits.
Whether you’re a night owl, living in a commune, or taking a vow of silence – you like to experiment with your lifestyle.
Expressing your individuality is important to you, and you often lie awake in bed thinking about the world and your place in it.
You enjoy staying home, but that doesn’t mean you’re a hermit. You also appreciate quality time with family and close friends.

Bead Letter F O O D

I’ve been meaning to post a list of all the good food resources that I have found, so thanks to Connie for requesting info, which gives me a reason and motivation to post!

Of course, my favourite places to find food inspiration are always TasteSpotting, Williams-Sonoma, Recipezaar, and Diana’s Desserts. I also subscribe to Martha Stewart’s Cookie of the Day. Except TasteSpotting, none of the above are on my RSS feeds.

Speaking of RSS feeds, though, I subscribe to a lot of blogs, and I have several food resources around my website. Here’s a list of where I keep or find my food inspiration:
-My recipe list on my web journal
-My food category on my link blog
-My Google RSS feed for food (and there are lots of food posts in my flickr RSS feed too)
-The recipe category on my del.icio.us account, as well as the foodporn category. You can also check the blog category and the foodresources category to see new stuff that I have added but not posted or subscribed to yet.
-On my Shelfari bookshelf, check out the books I have/want with the cooking tag, the food tag, or the recipes tag
-My flickr album has a food set (all my food and cooking photos!) and my flickr favourites page is usually full of craft inspiration, but there are occasionally food photos in there…

Justin Clayton paints every day, and I love his beautiful paintings, especially his food-centric ones. Totally my style of art🙂

by Gnarls Barkley

I just love all the layers of geekiness that are involved in this song: Gnarls Barkley as a cultural reference, the fact that this is not really a group, more of a collaboration, and–major geek factor: they like to appear in costumes and reference movies. Read more about Danger Mouse to know just how wonderfully geeky this is🙂
